July Birthstone - Ruby

July is here and if you haven’t decided what colour to die your hair yet for summer – have no fear, the month of the Ruby is here! These blood-red stones of the most beautiful intensity are believed to possess leadership skills, enhance prosperous decision-making, and if you’re lucky enough to wear one, it is said that the owner will be bestowed with tons of good fortune.

For the past 2000 years, Ancient Hindus have hailed the ruby ‘Rajnapura’ – meaning ‘King of gems’ as the stone is associated with the natural powers of the sun and is thus said to preserve both physical and mental health, a perfect excuse to have one of your own!

Known as high energy stones, rubies are said to amplify emotions and desires for the better. The deep red and rich hues of these stones are associated with intense passion, and enriched feelings of love and romance.
