Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to ‘love more and consume less’. So, we carefully craft every piece of Lee Renée jewellery by hand, to ensure it will remain a forever-favourite in your jewellery box for years to come.

How Our Jewellery Is Made

We are fully committed to running a sustainable business.

We use recycled materials, produce our jewellery in small batches to minimise waste, and work with partners who do the same.

We also try to keep our business needs local. So, as well as designing, making and rigorously quality checking every single piece of jewellery by hand in our studio in London’s Hatton Garden, we also work with some of Hatton Garden’s finest goldsmiths, diamond setters and engravers. This not only helps reduce our carbon footprint, but also means that when you buy a piece of Lee Renée jewellery, you are helping to support local, independent craftspeople and small businesses beyond our workshop.

Our Materials

To us, jewellery is as precious as the planet that inspires it.

We craft ours using only sustainable, quality materials that are kinder to the environment and designed to stand the test of time.

All our jewellery is made from recycled gold and sterling silver, including all our chains and findings. The local casting firm we use sources these precious metals for us from scrap from the jewellery industry, meaning we avoid many issues associated with extracting mined gold and silver.

Every single gemstone we use is hand cut, making each one truly unique, with its own subtle shade of colour and naturally occurring inclusions. We only ever use conflict-free, ethically and sustainably sourced gemstones, diamonds and pearls in our jewellery, obtained from reputable suppliers.

Our Packaging

Our boxes and printed materials are made from FSC-certified paper, sourced from a responsibly managed forest.

Our protective microfiber soft pouches can be used to gently polish your jewellery when needed, and help prevent tarnishing and scratches when stored, prolonging your jewellery’s shine and lustre.

Our Daily Practices

We believe happy people make beautiful jewellery, and so have set up several practices to help our small team stay inspired and mindful.

We have filled our studio with oxygen-giving plants to create a healthier working environment, and we also take the time to recycle and reuse all our scrap metals and materials on a daily basis.

And as giving is good for the soul, every year since we started in 2012 we have chosen a charity to support by donating a percentage of sales from one of our new collection pieces. With your help, we have raised money for Wildlife Aid, New Hope Animal Rescue, Switchboard (LGBTQ+ Helpline), The Royal British Legion, Doodle Aid and The Sea Watch Foundation.
